It's not buffet style but their food is amazing and plentiful
Great food, no outdoor seating however
All day breakfast I think like 6 to 2
All a round good food ! Everyone was great they took care of us even with a medical emergency outside they had to tend to.
Very large portion for a lunch. Food was tasty, service was very good.
Food over priced. Two people ordered two over medium eggs. Two were hard with crust. Had to cut with a knife. Other two were all but raw. Poor waitress was all by herself. But at least 5 people in the kitchen and none would help. Can't see myself ever darkening their doors again.
Not what I was expecting based on the other reviews. Service was pleasant and helpful, went for breakfast and food was ok. Nothing worth getting excited about, if you're hungry they're open and its there.
Have no experience with the actual food to review. Never made it to a table. Watched an employee repeatedly ignore every customer standing in line to be seating. Only acknowledged us when an older lady walked in and pointed us out (owner maybe?). Kept hearing a man yelling in the kitchen. Nothing bad was said, but there was no way we could have enjoyed our breakfast in peace listening to that. My poor husband has a very customer service oriented wife and I asked to go somewhere else before I told them exactly what I thought of their actions. Little did I know, he was already pulling up other breakfast options in the area.
Amazing pancake, the thing was 1/2 an inch thick, and a good size around. Food was priced fairly across the menu, most meals were under $10. Two adults in my party split a meal closer to $15 and it was enough for both of them. (results may vary depending on how hungry your friends are)
Not sure what this is suppose to mean, but these signs were everywhere (not a cute look). Food was good.
Decent place for a quick bite
This is one great place!! Such a great family owned restaurant!! Service was quick, polite, and so homey!! If you are ever in Bryson City, this is a must place to eat!! Food is off the chain!!
Good coffee and breakfast food! it was hot and out in a jiffy!
Came to eat breakfast with my family and wanted a half and half tea waitress said they didn’t have unsweet tea and would not make any. First off if u offer it you should have it or take it off the menu. How hard is it to take a gallon out of the sweet tea before adding the sugar. And if you make the unsweet you can always sweet the tea if you need more tea or sweet it for the next day so it would keep longer. I have been a waitress for 15 years and believe me it’s not that hard to make tea and even if you have to throw it you have less money in that tea then the 11 dollar breakfast plate and 3 dollar county ham I just canceled cause you refused to make me some tea
Love it, the people are nice and the food is perfect. I always go to the iron skillet once a day and it has not let me down.
Good but not as good as it used to be. Service was very slow
The service was great and the food was delicious .
I’m not sure if I was getting the sly glances because they knew we weren’t from there or because I was a brown girl 🧐..... I love our waitress she was talkative and fun.... I love the quaint little country towns... we ordered a veggie omelette which my husband said was good and my biscuits and gravy was eatable but bland
I encourage people to buy and patronize locally owned businesses if at all possible. I was there recently with a friend. The food was pretty good.. I think what impressed me most was the owners daughter who waited on us. She was 11 years old, very attentive and incredibly polite.
Great atmosphere. The staff was wonderful. Only got four stars because they had run out of salads.
Love thier food good service . If you leave there hungry it's you're own fault. Big plates .
The one man who works there, I guess he is head of the front of the restaurant is the ONLY reason I'm giving this place 2 stars. The food on the buffet was subpar an I felt pushed into getting the buffet by the 1 of 4 waitress who never introduced themselves but surely mentioned the food that was off the menu would take too long and we should get the buffet. The main issue was the cook in the back, he literally YELLED the entire time, I get it letting the waitress know the order was up but he sounded angry the entire time an was super rude to the staff and whoever was back there with him as we heard him yell " NEVER DO THAT AGAIN" this continued throughout our entire meal and not only were we upset by it but other customers were as well, I more than likely wont go back and especially with Everett's dinner across the street, they need to make some changes for sure
Went to eat here and they wouldn’t make any unsweet tea waited 50 mins for our food asked how much longer and they asked us to leave. We went across the street to Everett st diner, the food at Everett st was awesome and we had our food and ate with in 30 mins.
The two times we've been within the last month and a half we're disappointing considering it used to be a favorite for us. Both times things were made wrong from the menu description, we were missing items supposed to be with our meals, portion and quality seems to be lacking lately. Hopefully they can get their act together and get back to the great place it once was. Photo of their "Patty Melt" now??
It's casual and comfortable with the feel of a diner. The food is simply honest old fashioned fair. The staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome.Give it a try.
Good food and service. Under new Mgmt I hear. Buffet that I loved here is gone. Bummer....
Small menu but very good food. Sweet tea was a little too sweet for me. Service was good and staff was friendly.
Best biscuits and gravy ever! Frindly staff and affordable prices!
I want to like this place, and while I'm thankful they allowed me breakfast even after breakfast hours... the overall experience is never overly pleasant. The sausage gravy is fantastic!
Great southern comfort food. The chicken fried steak was great along with the fried okra and mashed potatoes. Excellent service, everyone was super friendly. Highly recommend!
A very dissatisfying experience. This is regarding just their breakfast spread. Walking in, all of their signage is very abrasive, we get it, no pets (as it should be for interior dining) but it was very off putting. They only have one person taking orders and seating patrons, as well as running food. They need other wait staff even during the off season. Pancakes were mediocre and biscuits and gravy lacked everything short of a basic sawmill packet from the grocery store. The link sausage tasted far from being remotely fresh. The price was agreeable if you can't cook for yourself while staying in Bryson City. I would look elsewhere for breakfast next time I'm in town.
It doesn't look like the pictures. The wait staff was really good the biscuits are not homemade. Canned.
I’d take a picture of the food but I ate it before I thought about taking the picture. The service was good. The food was good. The kitchen staff was ROCKING out to music back there and it was both entertaining and enjoyable. I like seeing employees having a good time. I had a good mushroom swiss burger and the fries were hot. We’d eat at this place off the main road again. Maybe breakfast.
Where do I even begin..... They did warn is there we be a wait.. but it was an hour to get our food... When it arrived one order was wrong and the hamburger buns were straight out of the refrigerator. We overheard that the owner had laid off most of the staff during the slow season and now that it was a busy day was completely unprepared. Didn't even bother complaining because it would have fallen on deaf millennial ears...just disappointed along with everyone else within earshot.
Awesome people and really great food, i recommend going hungry so you can really enjoy the food
Service was friendly, but slow! Food was good and filling!!
Very pleasant place to go for breakfast and the portions are large with very affordable prices.
Not the worst thing I've eaten I enjoyed it the wife didn't because they didn't have a Turkey bacon or sausage option. She tried the steak and didn't like it. I loved it but I can only give 3 stars cuz I'm trying to keep peace on my home.
Food was great! Portion size was large. People were very kind and friendly. Hometown county atmosphere... Not for everyone, but if you're looking for great food, good price and country charm this is the place.
This place was great. First thing that stood out after walking in was a New Testament bible. Love to see that. Great staff. We ordered for dinning in but had to leave before food was ready and they packaged our order to go with no problem. We will definitely be back. Great chili dogs also.
My wife and I both had biscuits and gravy biscuits were hard as a rock gravy tastes like wallpaper paste sausage must have been cooked yesterday
The food here was good, and even the heartiest appetite should be happy with how much food they give you. Someone that eats light could split most meals with someone else.
Nice local place, ate breakfast on a Saturday and they had a buffet $10 and some change. Gravy, biscuits link and Pattie sausage, bacon, eggs and fried potatoes were the items offered. Would probably order off the menu the next time.
Nice little spot. Went for breakfast and got a pancake and sausage and it was awesome! GIANT pancake and perfect in every way. Totally satisfied with just the one. I'll be back
Great food, great pricrs, and great people. This by far the best place ive been for breakfeast.
Nothing fancy. Just down home food with friendly folks. We ate breakfast here and the food was great! Steak and eggs for my husband and a western omelet for me. They had the standard breakfast buffet as well as order from the menu. The people at the table next to us said the buffet was good.
This is a must stop for breakfast B4 you ride the train. Great prices, great food, great service and the Best Coffee in town. There may be a line but it's worth the wait.
Had a great breakfast here today. Staff was very friendly. The breakfast bar just had the basics but for a good breakfast what's wrong with the basics. Excellent sausage gravy and some of the best cooked bacon I've ever had from a breakfast bar. Great price too. Stuffed 2 kids for 10 bucks. That's a win in my book.
This place was really busy. It wasn’t too bad. Overnight eggs had egg white crunch on them. The grits was very runny, the toast was dry, the sausage links were cooked hard as a Rock & the bacon wasOk but seemed cooked for a while. The huge pancake was great. It was middle of the day & we were looking for breakfast. We would return if we couldn’t find breakfast elsewhere.
The service was good in the food good. Not the best I’ve ever had, but good. I would go back if I was in town or nearby.
